Sponsorship & Media Coverage Strategy​

Sponsorship Outreach Plan

To fund and support the Back-to-School Community Event, we will partner with businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders who align with our mission. Outreach will include:

  • Local Black-Owned Businesses (restaurants, barbershops, beauty salons, bookstores, etc.)

  • Corporate Sponsors (banks, healthcare providers, major retail stores)

  • Nonprofit Organizations (Black mental health organizations, youth programs)

  • Community Leaders & Local Government (mayors, city council members, educators)

  • Celebrities & Influencers (athletes, musicians, public figures who support Black empowerment)

Sponsorship Packages:

  • Platinum Sponsor ($5,000+): Logo on event materials, speaking opportunity, featured booth

  • Gold Sponsor ($2,500+): Logo placement, booth space, social media shoutout

  • Silver Sponsor ($1,000+): Logo on flyer, social media mention

  • Community Sponsor (In-Kind Donations): School supplies, food, hair services, entertainment

Media Coverage & Promotion Plan

To raise awareness and ensure high attendance, we will leverage digital and traditional media.

Press Releases & News Features:

  • Contact local newspapers, radio stations, and Black media outlets for event coverage

Social Media Marketing:

  • Create a dedicated event page on Facebook & Instagram

  • Use hashtags like #BlackExcellence #BackToSchool #MentalHealthMatters

  • Feature video testimonials from guest speakers, volunteers, and attendees

Community Flyers & Word-of-Mouth:

  • Distribute flyers in churches, community centers, barbershops, and salons

  • Partner with local schools & educators to invite families

 

Live Streaming & Event Recap Video:

  • Instagram Live & Facebook Live coverage on the event day

  • Post-event recap video featuring highlights, testimonials, and sponsor appreciation
